Empowering Survivors, Catalysing Change

We are a community of determined bushfire survivors who share our stories to drive urgent climate action.

We believe the human impacts of climate change must be prioritised in Australia's politics, courts, businesses, and public planning.

Our mission is to create a safe future for all Australians.

Black Summer Stories

In the wake of the Black Summer bushfires, an inspiring movement of climate leaders emerged - stronger, more determined, and united in the fight for a safer future.

Five years on, these are their stories.

Have you or your community been hit by disasters or extreme weather?

National Personal Costs of Disasters Survey

Climate change affects us all in different ways, but every story matters.

My Climate Story: become part of a movement that is taking important climate action.

Our Impact

1.

We won against the NSW EPA in the Land and Environment Court arguing they had a duty to regulate against greenhouse gas emissions (2021), became a trusted stakeholder on their resulting court ordered climate change policy and action plan and are involved in monitoring its implementation.

2.

We contributed to the 2022 federal ‘climate election’ through local organising and candidate forums in the marginal electorates of Eden-Monaro and Macquarie.

3.

We broke international news at COP26 of Santos' domination of the Australia Pavilion and co-hosted a panel with First Nations People discussing climate impacts, in the Australian Pavilion at COP27.
